After the white water of the Wild and Scenic section, in its last 40 miles of the Rogue changes character again. The hill are rounder, the terrain more gentle as the river meanders its way along creating huge gravel bars. Coastal clouds and mist create a floating world as the Rogue becomes a bay spanned by the beautiful bridge at Gold Beach, then narrows between massive rock jetties to join the breakers of the Pacific. |
